GG2466748 - Uplifting Health Clinics in Nepal

Kathmandu, Feb. 26, 2026 – The Rotary Club of Kathmandu officially handed over essential medical equipment to Chhatrapati Free Clinic Hospital under the Global Grant Project GG 2466748, titled “Uplifting Health Clinics in Nepal.” The initiative aims to strengthen healthcare services and improve access to essential medical care for underserved communities. The medical equipment support, valued at US$30,800, was made possible with the generous assistance of the Rotary Club of Gananoque and Rotary International District 7040, Canada. The equipment handed over to the clinic includes a Coagulation Analyzer, Automated ESR Analyzer, Centrifuge Machine (32 Tube), Autoclave Digital Semi-Automatic Machine (50 Liter), Autoclave Machine (90 Liter), Video FNL Scope with Portable Monitors, and a Lensometer. These devices are expected to enhance diagnostic and treatment capabilities at the clinic. Speaking on the occasion, representatives of the Rotary Club of Kathmandu stated that the primary objective of the project is to strengthen and uplift the services of Chhatrapati Free Clinic Hospital by providing essential diagnostic and medical equipment. The initiative also supports the efforts of the Government of Nepal in addressing the healthcare needs of deprived, marginalized, and vulnerable citizens who rely on public and community health facilities for medical services. The project is expected to significantly improve access to primary healthcare services, particularly for economically disadvantaged populations who often lack adequate medical resources and facilities. The handover ceremony was attended by President Rtn. Rajendra Gautam, President Elect Dr. Puspa Raj Sharma, Prajun Khadka, PP Bishnu Subedi, and Rtr. Rabindra Karki, along with other distinguished members and representatives associated with the project.
