Project Description
Over the one-year project period, the program has been designed to provide structured computer training to trafficked survivors, equipping them with fundamental digital literacy, including basic computer operations, office applications, and internet use. This initiative aims to significantly enhance the girls’ future educational and employment opportunities, thereby reducing their vulnerability to re-trafficking. ASSN/EDM has played a central role in delivering the training, maintaining the equipment, and collecting monitoring data to track progress and outcomes.
The project was implemented through strong collaboration among partners: RC Brighton North maintained fiduciary responsibility and reporting to District 9800, while RC Kathmandu ensured effective local oversight, procurement, and financial management in coordination with ASSN. All project activities adhered to agreed governance protocols, including approval requirements for any changes. The project has recently been completed and was visited by Every Daughter Matters, marking an important milestone and recognition of the initiative’s impact and successful delivery.
