Humanitarian Relief Program in Response to Gen Z Movement, Nepal

The Rotary Action Group of Rotary International District 3292 launched a Humanitarian Relief Program in response to the Gen Z movement protests in Nepal. The protests, while voicing frustrations against corruption and social injustice, resulted in 72 deaths and widespread damage to public property, including police stations and vital infrastructure. Rotary’s initiative has been crucial in providing immediate relief, rehabilitating institutions, and supporting victims and frontline workers.

The following were the activities carried out.
• Blood Donation
• Relief Program (Food, Juice, Water for Victims, Security and Health Workers)
• Support for Dharmasthali Police Station (Computer and Printer)
• Renovation of Basundhara Police Station/Water tank
• Support to Thapathali Traffic Police Station (15 set mattress, bed sheet, blankets, pillow), 2 set computer, 1 printer and 2 chairs and Renovation work
• Renovation of Water Treatment System at Valley Traffic Police Station, Baggikhana.
• Toilet Construction at Dharmasthali Police Station.
• Tinsheet Support to Godawari Police Station
• Furniture Support to Bhaisipati Police Station
RC Kathmandu contributed NRs. 561,195 towards the project.
